"I believe in a higher law. In believe in true justice."


As a lawyer, George had a long career holding those who deal in human suffering accountable to the law. Recently, George retired and bought a boat to travel the world with his beloved wife Maria, but everything changed one morning in Bombay. George left the boat to get breakfast. On his way back, he passed Westerners dressed in black suits, all wearing silver rings that bore the image of a skull. Inside the boat, he found Maria's body surrounded by occult symbols. His sole reason for living now is the pursuit of justice for Maria.

Loss of Health

You find George in the hospital, broken and battered. The injuries to his hands and jaw makes communication a slow process. He gives you what he can. Gain all of his possessions. George tries to guide you through the necessary steps to secure his accumulated wealth (Will). If you pass, you get the money and learn who was trying to take it; gain 1 Investment Asset and 1 Clue. If you fail, all of his accounts have been emptied. Whether you pass or not, discard his Investigator token.

Loss of Sanity

When you find George in prison, he accuses you of murder; finds you guilty, and sentenced you to death. The guards tells you he does that to everyone. They say he hasn't spoken coherently since he was convicted. You try to bribe a clerk to see the transcript of his trial (Influence). If you pass, you see George's description  of what he'd learned; retreat Doom by 1. If you fail, George never communicates again, except to pass judgement. Whether you pass or not, gain all of his possessions and discard his Investigator token.

Team Role

George's high Influence and special skill allows players to get useful Assets from the reserve quickly: Debts for extra successes are almost a non-issue, since other players on any space may discard them when George succeeds.

His decent Lore and Will make him good at handling Other World Encounters, as well as casting Spells.
