Ever since she was a child, Mandy would read when she could not sleep. Such has been the case on many nights. Her remarkable memory and ability to correlate facts have made her a highly sought-after researcher around the world. Over time, her work has required her to read strange occult texts. These bizarre tomes have slowly caused her to suspect that an ancient being will arise to destroy humanity. Recently, the scrolls she has been reading in Shanghai have made it clear that the world is in immediate danger.

They have left Mandy alive as a grisly warning. She motions to her packed bags with bandaged hands. Gain all of her possessions. Even though her tongue has been removed she tries to use her eyes to direct your attention to something in the room (). If you pass, you find a cruedly written note under her bed that outlines everything Mandy has come to know; retreat Doom by 1. If you fail, you can do nothing more than arrange a nurse to see to her comfort. Whether you pass or not, discard her Investigator token.
Loss of Sanity
When you find Mandy, she hands you all she owns and demands to see your money. Gain all of her possessions. She will never speak coherently again, but her notes describe a global conspiracy. The proof, she wrote, can be found in money. You try to gather currencies from around the world (). If you pass, she seems comforted as you uncover the truth; advance the active Mystery by 1. If you fail, she spends the rest of her life begging for pocket change. Whether you pass or not, discard her Investigator token.
Mandy's role revolves around clues. She's great at getting them, and her action provides one of the best ways to get clues on the board early in the game, in convenient locations. Her abilities can help prevent death to Rumors or falling short of clues for the first mystery, when not many will have spawned. Low will and strength make her unable to deal with monsters or gates, so she should pair with investigators suited to this purpose.
