Flavor Text


"God has spoken. I will do His work without hesitation."


When Zoey was six years old, her parents were killed in a fire. As the flames consumed her home, God spoke to her. He told Zoey that she was special and that He was giving her a special task. As an adult, she now travels from city to city, taking work as a chef to support herself. When she isn't working, she stalks the night, guided by the Lord's voice. Wherever she finds wickedness, she strikes it down without remorse or hesitation. Most recently, God has called her to Rome, to dispense His righteous fury.

Defeated Encounters

Loss of Health

Zoey's wounds have left her hospitalized and unable to walk. Grudgingly, she's left everything for you in a safety deposit box. Gain all of her possessions. When you return from the bank, the hospital is on fire. You try to find the courage to run in and rescue Zoey (Will). If you pass, Zoey gratefully says a prayer for you; gain 1 Boon Condition. If you fail, the only remnant of her you find among the ashes is an old photo of her as a child with her parents. Whether you pass or not, discard her Investigator token.

Loss of Sanity

The priest tell you that Zoey donated all of her belongings to the church, but he understand your work and offers them to you. Gain all of her possessions. He tells you that Zoey has been deep in prayer since she arrived. You try to convince her to speak to you (Influence). If you pass, she admits that God gave her one final message of powerful significance and then stopped speaking to her; retreat Doom by 1. If you fail, she steadfastly continues to pray, begging to hear a response. Whether you pass or not, discard her Investigator token.

Team Role

Zoey has an effective 6 will and 7 sanity that give her unrivaled durability in combat. She works best as a fighter and gate closer, using spare turns to get or advance tasks to empower herself. She should team up with an Influence character who can get her a weapon.
